World War observation post.

This fortress observation post is on a hill overlooking the sea just a couple of kms from where we live. It is one of three observation posts in Port Elizabeth dating from the second world war, and was used for advance warning of any shipping or aircraft movements going towards the harbour. The strange curvy parapets were built so that it wasn't an easily identified box shape, and in fact from the sea it could hardly be seen - it was also surrounded by indigenous bush.
Hopefully this will be declared a national monument before it becomes covered with graffiti or vandalised. The bush around it has recently been cleared so maybe something is going to happen.
I will blip the view from it on a clear day...
