Just to prove...
... that there are still some butterflies around, I was trying to photograph a small white that was flitting about at Harlow Carr on this very warm morning.
Suddenly, we were joined by this Comma Butterfly. It stayed around just long enough for exactly two shots to be taken; then it disappeared, not to be seen again.
I don't know a great deal about butterflies but I probably know even less about poultry. Nevertheless, I took the extra shot of a handsome specimen resident in the RHS kitchen garden. A quick search seems to suggest this is a Silver Laced Wyandotte.(but I'm open to correction).
