Reflections
We’re in Cardiff at the Anglo-French medical society annual conference. It is held annually in September alternate years in a French city and a UK city.
I do the social programme! This morning we went to the National gallery of Wales where they had some lovely impressionist paintings and an interesting photographic exhibition of 2 sisters social history photos from the early days of photography.
Every afternoon everyone goes on a tour. Today we went to St Fagans National Museum of History. It was just the kind of thing I love. They have moved over 40 historic buildings from all over Wales and set out the interiors as they would have been in the time they were built. The buildings and farmhouses ranged from the 16th century to the post war prefabs! It was really good. It included general stores which looked very much like I remember from my early childhood!
This picture shows the Castle on the right hand side, but I liked the reflection of the Virginia creeper in the lake.
