Lost Something?

In the Autumn the leaves start to loss chlorophyll....but not all leaves lose it at the same time. These few leaves were changing but the rest of the Dogwood tree is still green.......I don't understand why.....but there are a lot of things I don't understand.  :-))   I must admit that I want to understand things........I love learning something new, especially things in nature.
