Ah, Astro Turf. Plastic Fantastic. A secret favourite of Toronto dwellers and sellers. Commonly found on stairs and porches of houses in 'poor' parts of town and in front of aging grocery stores. This photo was taken in front of a grocery store on Logan Avenue. Will last a 'lifetime' so Step Right Up! ...

Oh, yes. I almost forgot. We got brand-spanking new football team in town:
Toronto FC. Guess what they chose for the playing surface in their new stadium? ... You guessed it: Astro Turf but they prefer to call it 'Field Turf'. The players were not too pleased.

Just makes me wanna cry.
