The Swedish meatball effect. Yes, it was the Ikea day out - the kids love it and I actually find it a bit of a giggle too - as long as it's not the weekend.

First stop is always the cafe with the kids pinching meatballs off the plates and sticking fingers in the jelly before we've even sat down. Then it's off to play in the toy/bedroom area - this is easily a half hour stop (and includes hugging every stuffed toy in the department) before heading downstairs where mini-trolleys are grabbed and ankles are whacked on the race to the checkouts. We can't forget the ice cream machine on the way out, some hide-and-seek in the play park or an open top bus ride on the carousel either.

All of these boxes were ticked and today was a good day.
