Settlement

I have to thank LakelandLad for blipping this temporary art installation on Birkrigg Common yesterday and warning me it would disappear at the weekend.  Another lovely sunny day in the Lakes, Mr P had gone for a long walk to bag a few more Wainwrights and as soon as he got back I persuaded him to drive over to see the sculptures. "Settlement" is inviting us to think about the people who have inhabited the area and worked the land over hundreds of years.   My first off road foray.  Birkrigg stone circle was nearby (extra) . A very scenic afternoon out.
