Swincombe Bridge on the Crock of Gold, Dartmoor

Lovely day for a Dartmoor walk, trying out part of the Devon 100 mile route. We met at Ashburton at 7.30am where it was perishing cold and were bussed to Princetown. Even the prison looked nice on this fine morning. We then walked the 14 miles back to Ashburton, giving the route and the instructions the seal of approval, apart from some minor comments. The 100 mile walk organised by the Long Distance Walkers Association, and specifically the Cornwall and Devon group, takes place in May 2013.
