Today we did a trip we have been meaning to do for ages. We walked into town then got the little ferry across to Portland. The boat is called ‘MyGirl’ and is the oldest working boat in Weymouth and was used in the war to carry equipment and personnel out to the big ships at Portland - they think she carried 2,500 sailors in all during her service as a war boat. It was a lovely trip across to Portland. We then had coffee sitting in the sun at The Messdeck, then strolled back across the causeway.
This evening we returned to Portland - in the car! - to watch a beautiful sunset.
