A King's Calabash

Took a quick look at the 26th Annual Hawaii's Woodshow on display at Linekona.   This beauty is from Cliff Johns, over in Kailua-Kona, Big Island.   Made of kou wood and beautifully embellished with butterfly patches.   Probably about a foot and a half by the same tall, a large calabash with lid.  It is entitled "King's Feast, 2018".

Will have to return because I forgot to get a foto of the show stopper, a "Koa Cocktail Dress".    (stay tuned, show is on til October 7th)
