SS Fungus in the Deck

This does look rather silly. Shelf fungus growing in a small crack in the deck. Have we had so much rain that the fungus is taking over in unlikely places?
The small red maple leaf just happened to drop by to photobomb my fungus blip. You can see the type of disease this red maple tree has been struggling with for years.
Silly, yes? And it is Saturday, too.
