Bedouin encampment
We saw a few of these on our travels. The Bedouins are a nomadic people and still choose to live this way in many places. I took this from the bus on our way to Nablus where my dad was born in 1922 during the time of the British Mandate. Nablus is a Palestinian city and as such was quite different to some of the other places we went. I chose to use a sepia tone filter as I felt it was probably closer to the kind of scene my grandparents would have known all those years ago. Of course the huge tower in the background spoils that slightly!
