Sewerby Hall

The Dalby Parkrun was cancelled because of a car rally. We decided on a trip to the Sewerby Hall event instead. It was a beautiful morning on the east coast and this is a view of the Hall through the balustrade with its greyhound statue.

The extra is to be found on a tree in the grounds near the car park, the sculpture of the Moth commemorates Amy Johnson’s record-breaking flight to Australia, in a Gipsy Moth aeroplane. It is part of the celebrations to commemorate her opening of the house in 1936.

Well worth a trip out for some exercise this morning.
