Vacances
A challenging journey from Bristol saw Cathy, Incredibish, Janet and I add an air traffic control delay to the flight delay which meant that we were later getting into Toulouse than originally planned. The car collection from Europecar at the airport went very smoothly though, and in record time we were on our way to the Aude.
With cries of "don't forget to drive on the right" things got a little fraught with two sets of sat navs and lots of free advice to the driver from the passengers. Fortunately no blood was spilled and we settled down to the drive, passing Carcassonne as the sun was setting. I did suggest that we stop so that I could take a blip of the castle, but apart from Incredibish no one else seemed even slightly keen for some reason.
Eventually we arrived at John's where he had cold beer waiting and we enjoyed the most delicious three course meal with local wines whilst sitting on his patio. This shot of the three chaps was taken with the fisheye lens - after alcohol had been taken - as you might be able to guess.
I'm very much looking forward to relaxing days and the laughter that always ensues when the three of us get together.
