Running through the burn

Today, for the first time in what seems like forever, I went for a run. I’m determined to get back into it - and today’s was a solid encouragement, as I had no pain afterward.

I went on the second-shortest bit of trail around us, and partway I encountered the results of the hazard-reduction burn of some months back. Kind of odd juxtaposition of the burnt ground and lower trunks, with the upper greenery.
