Woolly Heaven
My crochet group went to Skipton today to Yarndale, an annual wool festival. It's not like most craft fairs as this is literally just wool - fleece, felt, spinning wheels and the most beautiful - and expensive - skeins of wool.
I knew I wasn't going to buy anything as I still have the skeins I bought 3 years ago! At upwards of £15 a throw, it's not your cheap acrylic! There were so many beautiful things but I decided that I might have wanted it ... but I certainly didn't need it!
Just wandering round the stalls is a great place to be inspired especially when you have 20 of your fellow yarnies with you and it's great to people watch as some go dressed head to toe in their crocheted garments!
Quote for today:
And when life became too frenzied she took up her knitting and breathed a while to the rhythm of the stitches and rows until her smile returned and her mind was calm.
