Great Scottish Run

Inconvenient for many as road closures make travelling in the city centre and out to the south side difficult ..... but so much money is raised for wonderful causes that I just applaud all the thousands who run in either the 10K or the half marathon.

I only saw part of the 10K ..... the half marathon didn't start till 11 o'clock and I was in church by then. Not many fancy dress costumes but Karen and Gillian, who were running for Breast Cancer, in their pink flamingo outfits, were very happy to pose for me. I spotted them again at the beginning of the race and managed a quick photo.

The extra photo shows the elite runners at the start of the 10K synchronising their watches with 1 second to go.
