Gatekeeper

I'm still seeing a few butterflies but I can't help thinking that this can't go on for much longer now -  at least in my part of the world so each one I see is like a bonus.

We met Lucie's young man for the first time today and after hearing so much about him over the last two years it was lovely to meet him at last.  They've just returned from a road trip in the States which followed a 3 month stint at camp America and  they now have plans to visit relatives and see as much of the U.K. as they can during the next month.  At the beginning of November they travel to NZ to see his family and intend living and working  there for a year.  It's anticipation and excitement all round for them both, but it's also tinged with sadness at the thought that she's going to be so far away.
