The Warren House Inn Dartmoor
This inn lies at the very centre of Dartmoor between Moretonhampstead and Princetown. It is isolated and remote at 434 metres above sea level. It is the highest inn in Southern England. It is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. There has been a fire burning inside continuously since 1845, originally peat burning and now wood is used. It enjoys extensive views.
You may just be able to see M in the doorway, who couldn't wait to get inside for a hot drink.
