Heavy and Light.
Today, well tonight really, i'd like to discuss something that means alot to me. I've mentioned this group before in passing but have never really explained them.
To Write Love On Her Arms is an organisation that raises awareness to depression and suicide, using music and bands as a way of getting through to people and "moving" them - into action or just thought I guess.
What's brought this on? - well isn't that the question.
So, Valentines day is coming up. And I hate Valentines Day. Reason? Never have anybody "Special" to share it with - I'm like the Valentines Day Grinch.
I then read that TWLOHA will be doing like a chat room on Absolutepunk.net on Valentines day for those people who don't have anyone and feel kinda upset and down because of this.
The Main message? "Valentine's Day doesn't have to suck."
I'll leave you know with a quote from Jamie Tworkowski, one of the, i'd guess you'd call him, founding members of TWLOHA.
"I think we can all relate to the following: pain, hope, love, loss, laughter, questions, joy, loneliness, dreams, sickness, fear and friendship. Sometimes life is this really amazing thing. Sometimes it hurts like hell."
Just had to get that off my chest, sorry if it makes no sense.
I'm exhuasted.
Much love,
Kirsty.
