Settlement

It was the last chance to see the Rob Mulholland work on Birkrigg Common today. I’ve wanted to visit the common for years and so this was the moment. I walked up from the coast road via the stone circle and then back along the coast path calling in at Conishead for a cuppa. I found the whole thing very moving and cried when I saw the first blank figure. It was lovely to see so many people making the effort to visit and enjoy the sculpture. One little girl kept trying to talk to them.
