Waves, Wind, Water
A view of the carved and crenelated sandstone headland off Pacific City, on the northern Oregon Coast.
Slightly to the left of this headland is a large basalt sea stack. This is one of several formations along the coast. These stacks make for unique wildlife habitats and provide picturesque views. The sea stack is home to many birds. I watched many pelicans catching fish just beyond the breakers.
It was a mild and windless, albeit cloudy, autumn day at the beach. We had a delightful walk to cap off our old friends' retreat.
