Amser a dim amser

Amser a dim amser ~ Time and no time

Aethon ni i ddau ddiwrnod agored ar ganolfannau Bwdhaidd, mewn un dydd, ddydd Sul.

Yn y bore ymwelon ni â Theml Fwdhaidd Sanghapadipa - lle yn y traddodiad Thai.  Roedd y bobol yna yn gyfeillgar a chroesawgar iawn i ni.  Gwnaethon ni eistedd tra maen nhw'n perfformio seremoni yn Thai. Ar ôl y seremoni, gwnaethon  nhw'n darparu llawer o fwyd blasus iawn. Roedd e'n dda i dreulio amser gyda thraddodiad gwahanol. Un peth y mae'n ymddangos bod pob traddodiad yn cael yn gyffredin yw gariad i fwyd da.

Yn y prynhawn aethon ni i Ganolfan Bwdhaidd Lam Rim ger Rhaglan. Nawr mae tipyn bach o hanes yma. Am y ddau ohonon ni roedd Lam Rim ein Canolfan Bwdhaidd cyntaf, y lle oedd dechreuon ni - ond doeddwn ni ddim wedi ymweld yna ers tri deg o flynyddoedd. Roedd e'n ddigri i gael cyfle i ymweld eto, ac mewn rhai o ffyrdd roedd fel pe na bai amser wedi mynd heibio.  Roedd yr ystafell myfyrdod yn yr un lle, ac roedd e'n edrych yr un peth hefyd.  Rydw i'n gallu cofio bod yna yn yr wyth degau fel pe roedd e'n ddoe. Roedd e'n emosiynol i weld y lle eto ac yn cwrdd ag un o'r bobol pwy oedd yno ar y dechrau ein taith Fwdhaidd. Dw i ddim yn meddwl y bydd e'n tri deg o flynyddoedd tan i ni ymweld eto.

We went to two open days at Buddhist centers, in one day, on Sunday.

In the morning we visited Buddhist Temple Sanghapadipa - where in the Thai tradition. The people were very friendly and welcoming to us. We sat while they were performing a Thai ceremony. After the ceremony, they provided a lot of tasty food. It was good to spend time with a different tradition. One thing that every tradition appears to be common is love for good food.

In the afternoon we went to the Lam Rim Buddhist Center near Rhaglan. Now there's a bit of history here. For both of us, Lam Rim was our first Buddhist Center, where we began - but we had not visited for thirty years. He was delightful to have the opportunity to visit again, and in some ways it was as if time had not passed. The meditation room was in the same place, and he looked the same as well. I can remember being there in the eighties as if it were yesterday. It was emotional to see the place again and meet one of the people who was there at the beginning of our Buddhist journey. I don't think it will be thirty years until we visit again.
