Student accommodation

This is a photo of a photo. The original photo was taken in the late 80s. I found it today and took a photo of it to share with friends from back then.

These two buildings were where we lived as students. They looked lovely with all the roses. However that's really where the luxury stopped. We had a couple of bathrooms between about 25 of us and one twin tub to wash our clothes in.

The only phone was a pay phone and we all had to share that too. We rented a tv for the common room. Does anyone still rent tvs????

This isn't there anymore. It was all sold and knocked down to make way for new houses.

Despite the lack of luxury we had a lot of fun and made some excellent friends.
