Getting To Know The Place

The villa is awesome. The views stonking (see yesterday's blip). Following a poor nights sleep, I woke up to an amazing sunrise with the sun sneaking up over the mountains on mainland Greece. See the extra. Went for a morning run shortly after, while it was cool(ish) to get a feel of the place locally. Being 1000ft above sea level is a shock to the system for any keen runner.

The day started with an eventful trip to Lidl. A 40 minute drive away. Plenty of hairpin bands, windy roads, mopeds overtaking and shrines in almost every corner. Surprisingly there were 4 shrines erected outside the Lidl store! And no they were not for sale. Doreen and I stocked up while the rest of the clan mingled around the villa, pool and sun lounges. We all managed to relax for the reminder of the day, reading, playing cards, swimming, and clicking away at some obscure wildlife.
