Gully of death (not bunton hush)
Cracking day riding in swaledale. It's been a long time since a few of us last rode together. Chatting about adventures in the past and drinking till 3am on Friday night didn't dent the enthusiasm for a proper day out.
Put together a great route, hardly any road, brilliant descents and tough climbs, finishing at the pub in gunnerside. Very windy but blue skies and sunshine all day.
The pic above is Neil dropping into the gully to the left of bunton hush above gunnerside gill. We missed the turn into bunton hush. This line is called gully of death on strava. It got progressively steeper and the rocks got bigger and more pointy. It got way above my skill level and walking the bottom section was tricky enough. Neil was the only one of us who rode it all, and he had to do it in sections.
