Succulent Garden
Folks often tuck painted rocks and other little offerings in the trees along the ocean path, but these things all disappear very quickly. I noticed this impromptu planter a few weeks ago and hoped it would last. Looks like it's thriving.
My friend K and I went to the mall this afternoon in search of leggings, a simple quest, but I'll save you the trouble: there are no leggings to be found at our mall. I felt we were asking for chia pets from the looks we were getting. Does no one sell leggings any more? The whole mall experience was fairly surreal--so many stores have closed, and for the most part those that were still open looked trashed and disorganized, merchandise all over the place and no incentive to look through such a mess. It was a painful experience. I'm old enough to remember when shopping was fun. No wonder we prefer thrift stores, where everything is hanging nicely, prices are right and people are friendly.
