The Many Adventures of Minny Blipper

He saw Monsieur le Chef running towards them as fast as his little legs could carry him.  His hat was on crooked and he really looked a sight. 

Queek, queek, said the little Chef, Zer 'as been an accident just down ze road.  I need 'elp.  And he burst into tears. 

Minny looked beyond Monsieur le Chef, and he saw carnage.  The campervan was on its side, and a motor scooter was half underneath.

We were coming to see Minny, and zis person on ze bike came right in front of me, sobbed the Chef.  I didn't stand a chance.  I zink that he ran off.  But what if 'e is trapped under ze van.  Oh, I cannot bear eet!  And he collapsed under the strain of it all - suffering from shock, no doubt. 

The little blond nurse with the glasses went to his aid, and  the ambulance (which was on standby at the side of the hospital) took off with the doctor on board - luckily it was only a few metres to travel.

Minny's heart gave a great lurch - what about Marie?  When could he look forward to a life without continual disasters?  All he wanted to do was go for a walk with the girl he loved, and make plans for the future.  Oh cripes - he'd never actually formulated that thought before.  What if there wasn't a future. 

He struggled out of the wheel chair and started to stumble towards the accident site.

He was only a few steps down the road, when he saw...........................
