a lucky escape

it's not often that i can find anything positive to say about our 2 in the morning bedtimes, but in the early hours of today i went to run a bath and saw that the picture above our bed had fallen off the wall onto our pillows.

had we been in bed i think there would have been severe bruising, a broken nose or two, and lots of broken glass.  as we were still up, there was a soft landing for the picture. We repaired it in daylight and hung it back where it belongs.
