Small Wild Goose Pagoda
The day started with a calligraphy lesson before exploring the grounds of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Although the tour itinerary promised no more than one shopping stop in each city, there seemed to be a liberal interpretation of "one". The calligraphy session was followed by a long pause in the attached shop before exploring the area, followed later by a very restricted visit to the Pagoda souvenir shop which looked like much more fun. After lunch, the tour took us to the Terracotta Warriors museum, starting with a demonstration of terracotta techniques and another lengthy pause in the attached shop. Again, we were rushed past the souvenir stalls after the warriors, though they also looked like fun.
