Blind spot

Words and photos are od couple. I don’t mean here reportage where photos are illustration for the story or theoretical analysis of art photographs. What I mean are texts accompanying photographs, where images are point of departure for the writer. There are not that many from (what I can remember )Szarkowsky’s take on Atget’s 100 photos ( and Dyer’s recent work on Winogrand ), De Carava’s and Hughes , The Sweer Flypaper of Life, Roma’s The Waters of our Time to Teju Cole’s Blind Spot. What has all to do with above photograph ? I don’t know. But who am I to say...
