Back in town, an extra bonus is the Viking exhibition in the chateau - provided by the Swedes. And in the afternoon a mix of emotions - the sombre reflections of the slave trade memorial; the heritage and social consequences of the ending in 1987 of the shipbuilding industry on the Isle de Nantes. But I could not also resist the excitement of a ride on the amazing mechanical elephant.
