Uzerche and on

Uzerche was a pretty local market down full on interesting corners - the doors in particular impressed me. A walk into the country followed by an amble in the town before heading to lunch in a quintessentially French old school restaurant.
A beautiful setting overlooking the valley and a menu without much choice but what there was, was very good. Crammed full of locals from the road sweep up to the local bank manager showed it to be a popular space. for me a salad with variousd bits of duck, followed by confit de canard and then chocholate mousse. One doesn't get much more French than that.
After our au revoirs to I&K, back in the car for a five hour motorway slog to our Airbnb stop near Rouen. Glad to have got there in the light and a beautiful house of the local Normandy style with timbers everywhere. Monsieur's locally (legally?) produced calvados made a good end to the day.
