Cheltenham and on

Back in the land of cooked breakfast and scrambled egg tasted good. The plan was then  to go on and meet DS#2&CC to pick sloes for the Christmas gin but a combination of rain, mud and DS#2 dilatory start meant plans changed to meet at Deerhust Chapel, a Saxon church of some historical note.
The Saxon Font was stunning with the added bonus of a chequered history after its creation in the 9th century. The top half was found in a local farm almost a hundred years ago being used as a cattle trough whilst the lower half was rescued from a local inn more recently.
Whilst in England "make the most of the pubs" is my cry and so a good lunch in the local Gloucester Old Spot helped us on our way to Bath.
Dinner with my sister was excellent as ever and then on to spend the night in DS#2's spare room. Surprisingly tidy.
