Brick Kiln Along The River IJssel

I had read an article about the restauration of old brick kilns along the river IJssel. While today was an extremely beautiful day, I decided to bike along the right bank of the river to make a picture of one of them.

But it was a bit difficult to make an interesting picture from those big, empty kilns. Just walls. So I decided to picture one of the many vents in the lower part of the kiln wall. I liked the texture and the colors of the old stones ... ;)
