It's that time of year again. I am pleased to note how much more patient I am with this routine than I used to be, even when she says, "I'll just pick up this one leaf" several times per walk. Now we go much more slowly than we used to, and I applaud her good eye and the flexibility and balance it takes to bend over and pick them up.
