Pub Sign 11 - The Royal Butterfly

Journey along Hufling Lane in Burnley and you will come across 'The Royal Butterfly' - not the most photogenic pub in Burnley (see extra), but it has a very intriguing sign.  Royal Butterfly ?  with a picture of a relaxing bovine?
My research informs me that Royal Butterfly was in fact a Prize Bull - the pride & joy of Lieut.-Col. Towneley - An incredible animal that was sold for £1,260 way back in 1856
