Pub signage on Rose street making a bogus claim that the bar dates from 1859. Fake news, up till the mid 1990's it was Elders Bar, all resplendant in chrome, formica and pvc before being given a Victorian make over and a catchy new name. That said they have an excellent selection of real ale and do a good pub lunch, well worth a visit.
If you have read this far you will now know this is my 4th anniversary on Blip, my 1st post was of a Rose Street pub so have come full circle.
