A Bridge Too Far?

My plan today was to walk out onto the footpath on the old bridge after dark to get a shot of the new bridge. I went out at lunch time and did a recce with my compact camera.

Unfortunately this afternoon strong winds meant that the old bridge was closed! It did reopen about 6 p.m. but the weather was still pretty awful and I didn't fancy walking out on the footpath.

So instead you get a shot of the new bridge taken from a field in torrential rain. With a massive pylon thrown in!
