Last night I boldly put forward the suggestion that we could, in the New Year, decorate the front room. We inherited the beige textured wallpaper when we moved in 25 years ago and it's still going strong! My youngest is delighted with the prospect because we might actually buy a new sofa. So today I began the big clear out!! In the filing cabinet I found chocolate coins, best before April 2000, a 2003 newspaper article listing the 50 best bike rides in Britain, and best of all my son's primary school diary!
