Dry run

After coffee and chat with H and playing with the little ones for a while I left for the airport to collect M&N. Despite my attempts to coordinate with them on when to meet there were delays at baggage reclaim and it ended up being a very expensive pick up! Still, soon arrived at the venue where they’d done most of the decorating and setting up - all looking great. We put up the 3-D strings of hearts (extra) and our other bits and took photos around the place - lovely to have the sun come out and the setting amongst rolling countryside was beautiful.
M&N and I went to our little cottage nearby and settled in, sitting on the patio surrounded by horses and greenery having a cup of tea. N picked some blackberries which were very tasty and M picked up conkers to take back to their grandsons - they were pleasantly surprised by such a lovely autumn day.
We got changed and went over to the church for the rehearsal - slightly shambolic and we’re bound to forget the detail and end up in the wrong places but it won’t matter!
Over to the pub to meet up with other guests and family for a very relaxed and delicious dinner. Good to see people arriving at last...it’s starting!
