For best view in the Chamonix valley, along the whole range from l'Aguillette des Posettes. Mrs IttH obviously makes it just perfect ;-)

We barely saw a soul, very very different to just a few weeks ago when this route would have been heaving with people on either the second or penultimate day of the Tour du Mont Blanc.

The hills are currently vibrant as the bilberry bushes turn fire red and autumn puts flashes of colour in the forests. The weather this week has been amazing, today started at 2°C and rose to 29°C in the valley. Up high there wasn't a sniff of wind by lunchtime. Simply glorious.
