Rainbows

No chance of a real rainbow today, possibly the wettest day of the year so far! and as I had an office day, I took a little while out to try some water on a CD.

I dropped water onto the CD using a pipette, then, in a dark room, opened the shutter for 15 seconds at f22, whilst waving an LED torch around. I took about 50 pictures from different angles, and different magnifications, from the whole CD to about five drops.

Great fun, and an interesting way to work out how the prismatic effects of a CD work with light at different angles, so I learned loads!
