Robots! #1

When I was invigilating our print exhibition at Lewes Artwave last month I started a doodle that turned into a set of six robots (in the 1960's style of Mr Mercury or Robby the Robot) which I decided to develop into a linoprint. I transferred the image to a block and promptly forgot all about it for a month probably because its such a departure from my usual natural history inspired work. Well I've finally got round to starting the reduction print process and I thought I'd blip each stage. I haven't decided how many colours to use yet but it will be at least three, probably four. First colour - diarylide yellow - printed today. I'm hoping to cut the next layer tonight, then print and blip the second colour tomorrow.
