Marlborough Mound
We arrived at St Peters Church, Marlbourough, Wiltshire at 11.45am to be the only two on a tour of the church tower conducted by this lovely chap. The £2 fee is fantastic value.
It was extremely interesting and the photo shows Marlborough Mound about a hundred metres from the church. It's been dated 2400BC and is Silbury Hill's little sister. Not open to the public it was great to get a view of it.
The extra shows the view along Marlborough High Street (the second widest in the UK) which had a visiting fayre for the weekend. It didn't seem busy not helped by the rain which was in for most of the day.
