Another world..

Ok, so you've probably gathered by now I'm a bit boring.

I need to plan, I play be the rules, I try to exercise restraint.
Mostly because I know where it'll end up if I don't. Not a lot of people know the reckless bit. I keep her hidden as she can cause trouble that the sensible bit just can't deal with the fall out of. I also care a bit too much what people think but that's pontificating for another day..

As a consequence I'm more likely to say no than yes to things. Keep the boundaries tight and stay safe. It's not generally realised that I'm keeping myself safe from myself ;)

Aaaaanyway. It was Little One's birthday yesterday and I was therefore dismissive when my mad friend suggested a gig in London on a school night.
She lives in Devon, I live near Bath, the weather has been making the South West a bit of a tricky place to get around at the moment, it all seemed a bit improbable given I wanted to be home with Little One for dinner etc...

Somehow I got through a week of vague plans (they make me edgy.. I need definites!!) and she drove us to Camden last night to go and see Mad Dog McRea and Cosmo Jarvis at the Jazz Cafe.

We only got there in time for Cosmo's last song which was a real shame (the one linked above that I just found someone had put onto YouTube), but a chat and a big hug from him afterwards compensated for that a bit ;o)

Mad Dog were just great, I loved them.

Totes Amazeballs, bloody brilliant, fan-flipping-tastic you get the idea evening.

I did however try to keep my sensible head on when it came to the suggestion of partying with some of the band afterwards mores the pity because it would have been a brilliantly messy night I'm sure and instead we drove home and got in at about 2.30.

I had a fantastic night. Thank you soooooo much Carrie xxx

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
More coffee please..
