THE MOMENT OF TRUTH....

.... when it comes to "hot wheels" nothing beats the Bathurst Mount Panorama  "Bathurst 1000"  car race. 
This year was sort of special - it ended up a fine day pretty much for all of the 6 hour race. Yes, 6 hours of "grunt" and the quickest race partly due to the lack of accidents - my pic shows the moment Craig Lowndes  a veteran in the race in car 888 went to the lead. 

His win (the seventh at Bathurst) with co driver also a veteran beat all the others from pole position 9 and only second time this has happened from this start point.
A special win as he announced his retirement from being a "main driver" earlier and to finish with a win great for motor racing - love it or hate it Bathurst is pretty special course.
With the pre races over four days to find the pole positions over 200,000 people attended so I think the industry would be happy.
Oh, and if you are into "brands" it was a Holden winning.

Have to feel for the guy he passed to take the lead was favourite to win but ended up with leg cramp a hard way to finish when he was the pole position starter and fastest all day till this..... well that's motor sport.
