Autumn

Autumn is well and truly with us and the heating has already been on several times! The forecast for today was rain all day on Thursday but then on Friday it had improved slightly and this morning it said rain for a bit in the morning only so we put on our fleeces, coats and boots and headed to Attingham. Although black skies loomed in the distance, we managed a lovely, dry walk. The gardens still had some colour, especially from the apples and pears which looked beautiful against the blue sky. We finished off our afternoon with a delicious, freshly baked scone and a hot chocolate.
I haven't blipped for a couple of weeks because work has been extremely busy and we've just had a really intense week ending with a mock Ofsted. I'm glad that's all behind me but there's still a few more mountains to climb (or crawl up the way I'm feeling) before half term. Days like today are great stress busters, especially when there's a bit of sunshine and blue sky added in too.
