Hume

This statue of David Hume is set on The Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and presides over The High Court.
Hume was one of the fathers of The Scottish Enlightenment, and the age of reason. Don't know what he would think of the characters going in and out of the court-they looked pretty suspect today!
His big toe is highly polished by the many visitors to this bit of the town-who must give it a gentle tweek as they pass by.
