Shawhead

After a bright morning of Harvest hymns the day took a duller turn and I spent some time at my desk, having a sort out. D had been clearing a drawer and had unearthed some old artwork done by our children in their primary school days. This one by Joe was my favourite, a drawing of Shawhead Village . IIrs interesting how the phone box has caught his eye.

In the 15 years or so since this drawing, not too much has changed in the village. There is a new primary school. The phone is no longer in operation, but plans are afoot to use the phone box to house a mini community garden...
